Random stuff

Sorry I haven't been able to write much (or at all, for that matter). I really wish I could do more on this blog, but I got distracted and I have nothing to show for what I have done during my off-time. My Moleskine would tell you the same.

But it's not empty, no. Far from it. I have a bit of stuff here and there that I thought would be useful sometime. So--here it is. Let's go.

She emerged from her cappuccino shots with foam on her nose.

Format: a set of flash fictions that add up to a sizable short story.

A woman is there. You cannot see her eyes, but she is wearing red manicure on her toenails, ripped jeans, clear fingernails, red Georgia covering the top of her head that stems her auburn hair, black business bag and red rolling bag, and red shirt under the gray fleece jacket. As odd as it seems, I could tell that she was a grad student.

"Oh, look, a four-leaf clover."
"You know it's a genetic mutation, right? There's nothing interesting about that."
"Huh. I had no idea."
"Anyway, let me see."
"here."
"This is not a clover; it's just a gum wrapper."
"I know. But this one has a four-leaf clover picture hidden under it. It's the first time I got it--every time I got this gum, I get a three-leaf clover."
"So, do you win anything?"
"Nope."
"... that's pointless, then."
"Yeah, but I think it's still cool."
